Coy Smith Hillis

73 year old Coy Smith Hillis of McMinnville died Wednesday at Alive Hospice of St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Moose Lodge in McMinnville and a member of the VFW. Hillis was also a telephone factory worker. A graveside service will be Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Centertown. Michael Hale will officiate. No visitation will be held. Hillis was preceded in death by his father, Raymon Hillis and a brother, Arie Hillis. Survivors include two sons, Ron Hillis of Memphis and Ken Hillis of Wabash, Indiana. Two grandchildren. His mother, Grace Harting of Indiana. A sister, Marie Cline of Indiana and a brother, John Hillis of Indiana. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
