Doris Lynn Duke

73 year old Doris Lynn Duke of Smithville died Wednesday at the Riverview Regional Medical Center in Carthage. She was a homemaker and a Christian, having attended Faith Congregational Methodist Church. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Virgil Hibdon, Jr. and Mike Satterfield will officiate and burial will be in Hillview Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.C. Duke; parents, Woodrow and Beulah Malone; daughter, Kathy Foster; brother, Ralph Malone; and grandson, Tracy Cassity. Survivors include three daughters, Teresa and husband Ronnie Turner of Liberty, Queta and husband Dale Seifker and Stephanie and husband Danny Austin all of Michigan. Grandchildren, Sherry, Danny Jr., Rocky, Tia, Ashleigh, Blake, Tayla, and Deidre. Seven great grandchildren. One brother, Woodrow Malone, Jr. of Watertown. One sister, Linda Saylors of Smithville. Several nieces and nephews. Special friend, her poodle for 13 years Sugar Duke. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
