83 year old Dorothy Ione Miller of Smithville died Sunday at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Home Baptist Church. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Virgil Hibdon, Jr. and Mike Clayborn will officiate and burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Homer Miller; parents, Edmund and Martha Thompson Sandlin; granddaughter, Christie Miller, three brothers, Clarence, Junior, and Ewin Sandlin; three sisters, Lillie Mae Dutton, Sarah Bain, and Emmie Carter; and a son-in-law, Author Redmon. Survivors include two sons, Carlon and Billy Miller; two daughters, Shirley Redmon and Tammy and her husband Stephen McDonald. Nine grandchildren, Jason and Kacy Miller, Anthony and Preston Miller, Jamie, Jennifer, and Joseph Pack, and Angie and Chester Williams all of Smithville, Tina and Ron Pascal of Alexandria, Leslie Maples of McMinnville. Fifteen great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren. One sister, Clara Driver of Smithville and caregiver, Pam Dawson of Smithville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family requests that donations be made to Bethel Cemetery in lieu of flowers.
