72 year old Doyle Caplinger of Smithville died Tuesday. He was a truck driver, retired from Kraft Foods, and he attended the Faith Congregational Methodist Church. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Leonard Herman and Chris Long will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his father, Delton Caplinger and a grandson, Brian D. Pack. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Carter Caplinger of Smithville. His mother,Elmer Caplinger of Smithville. One daughter, Doylene Caplinger of Murfreesboro. One son, Charlie and his wife Rhonda Caplinger of Smithville. Grandchildren, Michael and Jennifer Caplinger of Smithville and a sister, Frankie and husband Jack Watkins of Smithville.
