42 year old Dr. Scott Wheeler of Smithville, owner and operator of Wheeler Veterinary Clinic, died Friday night at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a member of the Smithville Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a member of the AVMA. The funeral will be Monday at 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Larry Green will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 12:30 p.m. Dr. Wheeler was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, T.C. Wheeler and Marie Fuson and maternal grandparents, J.P. and Elizabeth Sullivan. He is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Kim Wheeler; two children, Robert and David Wheeler all of Smithville; parents, Marvin and Leslie Wheeler of Auburntown and Linda and Jeff Cook of Smithville. One brother, Stacey Wheeler of Auburntown. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family asks that donations be made to the Lighthouse Christian Camp or to the Joe Black Effort, in lieu of flowers.
