75 year old E.J. Atnip of Silver Point died Thursday at St.Thomas West Nashville. He was retired from Colonial Bread Company. The funeral will be Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bernard Houk will officiate and burial will be in the Mt. Holly Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until the service at 3 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Charlie May Braswell Atnip; a son, Terry Atnip; and a brother, Billy Atnip. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Curtis Atnip of Silver Point. Three sons, Gary Atnip of Silver Point, Jeff & Tara Atnip of Murfreesboro, and Timothy Atnip of Smithville. One step son, Tommy Williams of Murfreesboro. Four grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Three sisters, Fay Cantrell, Ella Moore, and Beverly Doreta Crips all of Smithville. A brother, Lamar Redmon of Smithville. Uncle Arvil Atnip of Smithville and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers make donations to Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.
