78 year old Edgar Hiram Dupius of Alexandria died Thursday at his residence. He was born in Michigan. Dupius was also a chef, a Navy veteran, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Saint Gregory’s Catholic Church, where he was a member. Father Jim Bretl will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 p.m.until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Mary Ann Beauchmin Dupius. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eugenia “Jenny” Dupius of Alexandria. Children, Diane and her husband Bjoern Papasian of Michigan, Denise and her husband Robert Snyder of Alexandria, Daniel and his wife Diane Dupius of Michigan, and Darlene and her husband John Thomas of Murfreesboro. Brothers and sisters, George and his wife Lena Dupius of Florida, Jacquelin and her husband Doyle Allison of Michigan, Collette and her husband Stanley Frymbulak of Windor, Canada, and Ronald and his wife Georgia Dupius of Belle River, Canada. Grandchildren, Megan and her husband Ross Broodwell of Michigan, Loren Papasian of Michigan, Bryan and his wife Elizabeth Kleparek of Murfreesboro, Dylan and his wife La Tonya Kleparek of Smithville, Joe and his wife Sara Fry of Smithville, Sarah and her husband Randy Cook of Franklin, Daniel and his wife Kim Snyder of Algood, Robbie Snyder of Cookeville, Haley Snyder of Alexandria, Michael Tyler Thomas of Murfreesboro, and Stephen Thomas of Murfreesboro. Eight great grandchildren also survive. Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements.
