100 year old Elsie Hendrixson died Sunday at NHC of Smithville. She was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church since 1923, a homemaker, and a factory worker. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Terry Fesler and Mike Carpenter will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelton (Shag) Hendrixson; a son, three year old Kenneth Hendrixson, great grandson, Chris Webb, A sister, Freeda Estes, two sons-in-law, W.J. (Wise Owl) Hendrixson and H.D. (Tootsie) Cook, and a daughter-in-law, Ezzie Lee Hutching Hendrixson. Survivors include a son, T.J. Hendrixson; three daughters, Geraldine Cook, Clarene Hendrixson, and Yvonne and husband Douglas Bonner all of Smithville. Six grandchildren, Jackie and husband Larry Webb, Jimmy and wife Virgie Hendrixson, and Jane and husband Matthew Brown all of Smithville, Ann Hildreth of Warren County, Mike and wife Melody Hendrixson of Florida, and Cathy and husband Bob Culver of Michigan. Two step-grandchildren, Gloria and husband Steve Corbin of Lynchburg, Mike and wife Sandy Cook of Tullahoma. Sister-in-law, Jimmie Mullican of Smithville. Thirteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
