Elverda P. Aucoin age 96 of Alexandria, died Saturday morning, Nov. 11, 2017 at the Lebanon Health & Rehab Center. Born Apr. 11, 1921 in Napoleonville, LA, she was the daughter of the late Whitney and Nellie Ayo Aucoin and was preceded in death by her brother, Russell Joseph Aucoin and a niece, Shirley Faith Elias. She was a cosmetologist and operated a beauty shop for over 40 years. Bert is survived by her nieces and nephews, Russell Aucoin, Jr. of Princeton, KY, Diana Kubic of Lebanon, Gale (Raywood) Bourque of Morgan City, LA, Michael (Patricia) Aucoin of Alexandria, Ellen Moxley of Oklahoma, Ronald (Joann) Aucoin of Morgan City, LA and a number of great and great great nieces and nephews. Visitation with the Aucoin family will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Hunter Funeral Home. Entombment will take place on Wednesday at the Morgan City Mausoleum in Louisiana.
