A 26 year old man was charged with driving under the influence Wednesday night after he lost control of his 1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport and overturned on Old Bildad Road.
Trooper Dewaine Jennings of the Tennessee Highway Patrol says Steven Bradley Emberton of Green Hill Road was traveling north toward Keltonburg Road when he went off the right side of the road, entered a ditchline, and struck a tree. The vehicle then overturned on it’s top blocking the road.
Emberton refused transport by EMS to the hospital but because he had a strong odor of alcohol on his person, Trooper Jennings asked him to submit to field sobriety tasks. He was subsequently charged with DUI.
