Evelyn P. Ramsey

88 year old Evelyn P. Ramsey of Smithville died Saturday at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was owner of Evelyn’s Kitchen and a member of the Church of God. The funeral will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Perry and Virginia Browning; a grandson, Bryan Johnson; and the father of her children, Alex Higgins Ramsey. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and C.H. Lockhart of Smithville and Julie and Michael Hinson of Lafayette. Two granddaughters, Amy Lockart of Smithville and Mandi Johnson and husband Todd Hardiek of McMinnville. One great grandson, Nic Lockhart Linder of Smithville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
