92 year old Frances Allen Caplinger of Smithville died Friday morning at NHC Healthcare Center. She was a retired X-Ray Technician and a member of the Faith Congregational Methodist Church in Dowelltown. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Mark Miller will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Caplinger; parents, Alvie and Ollie Page Allen; sister, Grace Allen Oakley; a brother, Jack Allen; a niece, Ann Oakley; and nephews, Joe Oakley and Doyle Caplinger. Survivors include nephews, Jimmy and wife Hilda Oakley of Liberty and Louie and wife Vivian Oakley of Alexandria. Nieces, Frankie and husband Jack Watkins of North Carolina and Joyce and husband Gary Howell of Georgia. Special friends, Johnny and Linda Ball and Ione Keith. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
