Gary Allen Walper

69 year old Gary Allen Walper of Dowelltown and formerly of Chicago, Illinois died Friday at his residence. He was employed by American Airlines, a U.S. Army veteran, and an active member of the Faith Baptist Church in Smithville. A memorial service will be held at the Faith Baptist Church on Friday at 5:00 p.m. Al Mahan will officiate. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Florence Schmidt Walper and a brother, Phillip Walper. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Walper. A daughter, Susan and her husband Dr. David Seber. Sons, Steven and his wife Cathryn Walper, Phillip and his wife Heather Walper, and Gary Walper, Jr. Twelve grandchildren, Adam, Amanda, Ashley, Crystal, Andrew, Aaron, Alex, Aiden, Abby, Addison, Julius, and Sam. Two great grandchildren, Piper and Koda. Brothers, Lee and his wife Mary Ann Walper, Ron and his wife Joan Jones, and Kenneth and his wife Sue Walper. Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements.
