Gary “Baldy” Jones age 69 of The Belk Community of DeKalb County passed away Sunday morning, May 31, 2015 at NHC HealthCare Center in Smithville. Gary was born May 14, 1946 to his parents, the late Cephas and Grace Cantrell Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Roger Jones; 4 Brothers: Troy Jones, Joe Jones, Roger Jones, Charles Jones. Mr. Gary Jones attended New Union The Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 2:PM Wednesday with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial will be in the New Union Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday 10:AM until time of the service at 2:PM. Survivors include: 1 Son: Michael Jones of Smithville; Grandchildren: Casey Jones, Micah Jones, Drew Jones, Kody Tanner; 1 Daughter: Kristine Tanner of McMinnville; 1 Brother: Cantrell (Margaret) Jones of Smithville; 1 Sister: Billie Grace (Phillip) Estes of Smithville. In Lieu of flowers family ask that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
