68 year old Gary Britt of Smithville died Monday at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. He was a self employed carpenter. The family has chosen cremation. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Britt was preceded in death by his parents, Cordell and Iva Rutherford Britt and a sister, Sandra Greer. Survivors include a son, Jason Britt of Smithville. One daughter, Aimee Jobe of Alexandria. Three grandchildren, Valarianne Britt of Smithville, Sara Jobe and Gavin Miller of Alexandria. Two brothers, Corky and wife Mary Jo Britt of Smithville and Rick and wife Becky Britt of Nashville. One sister, Belinda and husband Ken Harness of Smithville and several nieces and nephews. The family has asked that donations please be made to Love-Cantrell Funeral Home to help with burial expenses, in lieu of flowers.
