97 year old Grace Ann Bratten Medley of Smithville died Sunday at NHC of Smithville. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and a retired postal worker at the Liberty Post Office. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Don Mathis will officiate. A private burial will be held at Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. No visitation will be held prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The visitation and funeral service will be open to the public. Medley was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Medley; parents, William Thomas and Lillie Braswell Bratten; a grandson, Bryan Cantrell and a brother, Buster Bratten. Survivors include a son Harris and wife Evelyn Cantrell of Kingsport and a granddaughter, Leslie and her husband Tom Wolfgang of Germantown. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family asks that donations be made to Salem Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
