79 year old Harold Lewis McCarty of Smithville died Wednesday at Skyline Medical Center. He was a Jehovah Witness and was a retired IT Manager with Demco Gray. The family has chosen direct cremation. There will be no visitation or service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Elizabeth Davis McCarty. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kathleen McCarty of Smithville. Two sons, James R. McCarty of Smithville and Donald L. and Kimberly McCarty of Ohio. One daughter, Sharon and Michael Bell of Ohio. Four grandchildren. Seven great grandchildren. One sister, Harriett and Ronald Fisher of New York. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
