73 year old Harvie Johnson of Sparta died Tuesday at the White County Community Hospital. He was a retired owner of Johnson’s Shell. The funeral will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Randy Hill and Tony Gentry will officiate and burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Sparta. Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until 9:00 p.m.and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jonelda Johnson; parents, Ike and Era Mae Rigsby Johnson; two brothers, Wilson and Henry Johnson; and three sisters, Ellen Cantrell, Ruby Luna, and Jodie Foster. Survivors include special friend, Beverly Cope of Spencer; two daughters, Kathy and her husband Michael Flatt of Cookeville and Melinda Easterland of Nashville. Four grandchildren. One brother, Dave Johnson of Crossville and a sister, Allie Cantrell of Sparta. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
