Harvil Edwin (E.O) Owen

80 year old Harvil Edwin (E.O.) Owen of Smithville died Friday at NHC Healthcare Center. He was a member of the Dry Creek Baptist Church. The funeral will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Donald Owen will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from noon until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Rhea Owen and parents, Willie R. and Ethel Ballinger Owen. Survivors include his children, Doug and wife Pat Owen of Clarksville, Pat and husband Rob Smith of Franklin, Mike Owen and Tammy Moore of Smithville. Grandchildren, Scott and wife Kim Owen, Ryan and wife Kelly Smith, Nolan and wife Becca Smith, Mark Owen, and Thomas Owen. Great grandchildren, Ashley Owen, Kirsten Owen, and Kylie Owen. Sisters, Carlyne and husband Joe Dickey of Monticello, Arkansas and Georgia Hawker of Dowelltown. Brothers, Donald and wife (Audrey) Owens of Lebanon. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. The family requests that donations be made to Lighthouse Christian Camp, in lieu of flowers.
