Helen Fay Stanley

88 year old Helen Fay Stanley of Dowelltown died Monday at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital, ER. She was born to her parents, the late Cleveland and Carrie Summers Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. Stanley; daughter, Wanda Wallace; grandson, Jamie Webb; brothers, Grady and Ralph Taylor; sisters, Virginia Hendrixson, Irene Judkins, Ellen Hendrixson, and Lena Maynard. Ms. Stanley was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Herman Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Larry and wife Phyllis Stanley of Dowelltown and Dennis and wife Donna Stanley of Smithville. Grandsons, Tracy Stanley, Steve and wife Jessica Stanley, and Daniel Stanley. Granddaughter, Jennifer and husband Ricky Guinn. Step granddaughters, Jessica Ferrell, Felicia McPeak, Christie Ferrell, and Cissie Self. Fifteen great grandchildren. Sister, Margaret and husband Earl Vanatta of Dowelltown. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Michael Hale will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m.
