69 year old Howard Stanley of Smithville died Tuesday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church and a retired employee of Coca Cola. The funeral will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Ernest Colvin and Billy Shoulders will officiate and burial will be in the Braswell Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. Stanley was preceded in death by twin infant sons and another son, Christopher Stanley; parents, Claude and Ailene Stanley; infant sister, Margie Nell Stanley; and grandparents, Lloyd and Nancy Stanley and Shelah and Esta Parsley. Survivors include his wife Brenda Stanley of Smithville. A daughter, Donna and her husband Jerry Byrd of Dowelltown. A step-son, Greg and his wife Tammy Owens of Smithville. Grandchildren, Jeremy Byrd of Nashville, Heather and her husband Arnold Bean of Dowelltown, William Anthony, and Victoria Elaine Stanley. Step-grandchildren, Codi Funk and Devon Owens and a great grandson, Aydan Bean of Dowelltown. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
