76 year old Hoyte F. Hale of Smithville died Sunday at Stones River Hospital. He was a member of the Blue Springs Old Fashion Free Will Baptist Church. He was also retired from Federal Mogul. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. David Lawson and Paul Taylor will officiate and burial will be in the Bonham Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. Hale was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Dexie Hale; brothers, James L. and Lloyd L. Hale; and a sister-in-law, Hazel Hale. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen Whitworth Hale of Smithville. A daughter, Angela and her husband Billy Osment of Smithville. One son, Dathan and his wife Sarah Beth Hale of Gray, Tennessee. Three grandchildren, Jackub and Josef Osment of Smithville and Hallie Grace Hale of Gray, Tennessee. Sisters-in-law, Josephine Hale of Smithville and Linda and her husband Ronnie Huff of McMinnville. Brothers-in-law, Kenneth Whitworth of Decatur, Alabama and Jamie Whitworth and Waymon A. Mayfield of McMinnville. Several nieces and nephews and longtime friend of 51 years, Dorothy Cantrell of Smithville as well as other friends. The family requests that donations be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Blue Springs Free Will Baptist Church, to the First Nazarene Church Children’s Fund (in Smithville), or to the family.
