Hugh J. George

76 year old Hugh J. George died Friday. He was a native of Davidson County and son of the late H. J. and Nettie George. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in the Town Cemetery in Smithville. George is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sammie Foster George; sons Jeff and his wife Kim George and Mike and his wife Robin George; grandchildren, Rhiannon Huffman, Patrick Vest, Kayla George, and Chad George; three sisters, Violet Alexander of Louisiana, Lois and husband Jack Sloan of Nashville, and Myrna Miller of Murfreesboro; and several nieces and nephews. George was a member of Riggs Church of Christ and was retired from Kraft Corporation after 36 years in sales. Memorials in memory of Mr. George may be made to Caris Healthcare. Visitation will be from. 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro.
