88 year old James(Jim)David Dye, Sr. died Wednesday at his residence. He was retired from the position of International Marketing Director for the Haynes Satellite Division of Union Carbide Corporation, a disabled World War II Navy veteran, 32nd degree Mason, Shriner, member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Protestant faith. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Cookeville Funeral Home. Bob Rogers will officiate and burial will follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery with full Military Honors. He was preceded in death by his parents the late Harry Jackson and Effie Jane Darnell Dye, wife Evelyn Anita Stewart Dye, three sisters, and one brother. He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law Larry Don Dye of Granville, James David,Jr.(Jack) and Carrie Dye of California. One daughter and son-in-law Anita Sue and Joe Stout of Granville. Four grandchildren Jerry Stout, Amy and Jeff Allison, Jeffery and Dawn Dye and Laura and Richard Poppert. Eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Cookeville Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
