69 year old James “Jim” Wray of Smithville died Wednesday at his residence. He served in the U.S. Army. He was retired from the Army, government, and construction. The family has chosen direct cremation. Wray was preceded in death by his father, Fred Hamilton Wray. Survivors include two children, Crystal Wray of Smithville and Jennifer DeGraff of California. Four grandchildren, Victoria, Maegan, and Eric DeGraff, and Marley Wray. Companion, Lacy Mary Jones of Smithville. Mother, Mary Gladys Wray of Signal Mountain. Brothers, David Wray of Alabama and William Wray of Signal Mountain. Sister, Betsy Wray of Virginia. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
