90 year old James Robert “Bob” Rush died Wednesday at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Carthage. He was born in Davidson County, a Chrysler factory employee, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy and Army. The funeral will be Friday at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Jason Groe will officiate and burial will be in Hillview Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from noon until the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Simon Rush and Pearl Hatton Starnes and a niece. He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Rush of Carthage; a sister, Clara Mae Damron of California and three nephews. Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements.
