60 year old Jerry D. Bain of Smithville died Thursday morning at his residence. Bain was a Pentecostal and employed by Home Roofing Company. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Buford Bain, Jerry Braswell, and Glenn Chapman will officiate and burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. Bain was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Esta Mai Davis Bain; brothers, Turney and Junior Bain; sisters, Rachel Taylor, Henrietta Estes; and an infant brother, James Bain and infant sister, Trudy Bain. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Bain of Smithville. Children, Darlene Bain and companion Greg Driver, Donald and wife Lisa Bain, and Phillip and wife Jamie Bain all of Smithville. Grandchildren, Wesley and Tyler England, and Nathaniel and Benjamin Bain. Step-granddaughter, Amanda and husband Timmy Proctor. Step-great grandchildren, Clayton, Hannah, and Hunter Proctor. Sisters, Carol and husband Jerry Braswell of McMinnville and Shirley and husband James Hale of Liberty. Brother, David and wife Sandra Bain of Smithville. Many nieces, nephews, and friends also survive. The family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses, in lieu of flowers.
