64 year old Jewel Reed Arnold of Smithville died Tuesday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a retired machine operator at Carrier Corporation and a Primitive Baptist minister. The funeral will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Elder Jeff Winfrey will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Robinson. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Christeen Young Arnold; a son, Dennis Reed and wife Gina Arnold; five grandchildren, Kealah Curtis, Adam, Jordan, Bryson, and Samuel Arnold all of Smithville. One great grandchild, Gauge Pack. Parents, Ralph, Jr. and Ethel Christine Young Arnold and a brother, Ricky and his wife Debbie Arnold all of Smithville. Several nieces and nephews survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
