80 year old Jim D. Parkerson of Smithville died Sunday at his residence. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Johnny Adcock and Neil Pennycuff will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Movie Malone Parkerson; his first wife, Wilma Page Parkerson; two sisters, Isabell Stephens and Bessie Fitts; and three brothers, Toy, Elbert, and M.B. Parkerson. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Hays Parkerson of Smithville. Two sisters, Ruby Nell and Sallie Parkerson of Alexandria. Two brothers, Dillard and his wife Jeanette Parkerson of Lebanon and John and his wife Ruth Reynolds of Alexandria. Three step children, Jessica Lynn and her husband Johnny Adcock of Smithville, Shirley and her husband Paul Pearson of Watertown, and Toy and his wife Tracie Parkerson of Mount Juliet. Seven step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws in the Page and Hays families. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
