53 year old Jimmy Paul Mullican of Smithville died Saturday at his residence. He was a Baptist, a bus driver for the DeKalb County School System, and a farmer. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Dewey Dyer will officiate and burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Buliagh Mai Carter Mullican; a brother, Troy and Jackie Lynn, Billy Harold, and James Alton Mullican; and sisters, Rena Mae Ashford and Faye Mullican. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Gail Mullican and son Paul Alton and his wife Kalee Mullican all of Smithville. A daughter, Lisa Gail and Chris Barrett of Rock Island. Grandchild, Adrian Lee Barrett of Rock Island. Sister, Linda and Lynn Lamberson of Temperance Hall. One brother, Toy C. Mullican; Mother-in-law, Edna Mae Ashford; Sister-in-law, Barbara and Steve Green; and Brother-in-law, Jerry and Jamie Ashford all of Smithville. Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and loved ones all survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
