John Leonard Johnson

42 year old John Leonard Johnson of Smithville died Wednesday at his residence. He was a member of the Smithville Church of Christ and Director of Foster Care and Adoption for the State of Tennessee. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Smithville Church of Christ. Dan Gulley will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-8 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home and Friday from noon until 2 p.m. at the Smithville Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his father, Gus Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Niki Johnson; two children, Madelyn Johnson and Adam Johnson; mother, Joyce and Mark Boyd; sister, Melissa and Greg Muskoft; niece, Kellen Chalfant; and two nephews, Garrett Muskoft, and Tristan Chalfant all of Smithville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
