76 year old June Judkins Nixon of Smithville died Friday night at DeKalb Community Hospital of an extended illness. She was a member of the Smithville First United Methodist Church and a homemaker. A public graveside service and burial will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Randall Ganues will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel at which time the body will be taken to the cemetery for the graveside service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mae Redmon Judkins and brothers, Dean, Lynn, and Jimmy Judkins. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John Robert Nixon of Smithville. Two daughters, Gwen and her husband Harrell Tolbert and Sandra and her husband J.C. Wall all of Smithville. A granddaughter, Tara Tolbert of Smithville. A special great niece, Danielle and her husband Mark Collins of Smithville. A sister, Rubye Webb of Smithville. Sisters-in-law, Geneva Judkins and Faye Reeder both of Smithville. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
