Kathy Prater Crouch

60 year old Kathy Prater Crouch, a WJLE secretary for 19 years, died Sunday at DeKalb Community Hospital of an extended illness. She was born in Cannon County. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Leoni Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe L. “Lem” Prater; a brother, Lanny Prater; a sister, Lavada Duggin; and a grandson, Trace Allan Underhill. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Ken Underhill of Smithville. A son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Sasha Crouch of Smithville. Her ex-husband, Wayne Crouch of Rock Island. Grandchildren, Zackery Lane Underhill, Tyler Wayne Underhill, Samaire Lana Crouch, and Dennis Alan Crouch. Her mother, Ona Prater of Woodbury. Brothers, Dwaine and wife Reba Prater and Dale and wife Alice Prater all of Woodbury and Jerry and wife Joyce Prater of Manchester. Woodbury Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
