67 year old L.W. Neal of Smithville died Thursday at his home. He was a retired carpenter. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Matt Walls will officiate and burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. Neal was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lillian Hale Neal; one sister, Bobbie Jean Houk; and one grandchild, Ceanna Barnwell. He is survived by two daughters, Angelia and her husband Albert West of Alexandria and Sharron Barnwell of Smithville. Five grandchildren, Andrew West of Alexandria, Justin and Mariah West of Carthage, Alexis, Emily, and Arianna Barnwell of Smithville. One great grandchild, Makiah West of Carthage. One brother, Doug and his wife Kathy Neal and four sisters, Loretta and husband Calvin Bain, Patricia and husband Chester Sanders, Elaine McGuire, and Linda Faye Gentry all of Smithville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family has asked that donations please be made to Love-Cantrell Funeral Home to help with burial expenses, in lieu of flowers.
