74 year old Lena Turner Parsley of Smithville died Monday at her residence of an extended illness. She was a Baptist and a retired factory worker. The funeral will be Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Sarah Cripps and Michael Hale will officiate and burial will be in the Burton-Ponder Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Limmie and Altie Cantrell Turner; Howard Parsley; a sister, Earlene Johnson; and brothers, Frank and Kenneth Turner. Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Fields of Smithville. Two granddaughters, Amy Wheeler and Rhonda Lucci. Five great grandchildren. Two sisters, Linda Moser of Smithville and Helen Self of Liberty. Brothers, Boyd and his wife Nina Turner of Smithville and Reed and his wife Frances Turner of Lebanon. Several nieces and nephews also survive. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
