83 year old Lola Mai Ashburn of Dowelltown died Tuesday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a Baptist and a retired shirt factory worker. The funeral will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Leonard Herman and Charles Bogle will officiate and burial will be in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Elsie Bogle; her husband, William Sampson Ashburn; three brothers, Lem, Bill, and Velmer Bogle; and two sisters, Pauline Sandlin and Emmie Herman. She is survived by thirteen nieces and nephews, Thomas Bogle of Liberty, Brenda Bennett of Lebanon, Marie Derting of Liberty, Elsie Fish of Statesville, Anita Thornton of Smyrna, Lisa Bowen of Smithville, Ricky Herman of Murfreesboro, Randy Bogle of River Watch, Jeff Bogle of Franklin, Karen Fite of Alexandria, Charles Bogle of Greenville, Debbie Bratten of Nashville, and Kathy Bennett of Gordonsville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
