85 year old Louis Fuson of Liberty died Friday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a DeKalb County native, a farmer, and a founding deacon of the Faith Congregational Methodist Church. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Faith Congregational Methodist Church. Freddie Savage and Dennis Campbell will officiate and burial will be in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Anderson Funeral Home and from noon until the service at the church. Fuson was preceded in death by his parents, Solon Fuson and Verda Midgett Fuson; a son, Jerry Fuson; a daughter, Joyce Fuson; and a brother, Freddie Brown Fuson. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Reba Driver Fuson of Liberty. Children, Rebecca and husband James Taylor of Liberty; Layne and wife Darlene Fuson of Liberty; and Tracy and wife Stephanie Fuson of Liberty. Grandchildren, Brian Bandy, Katrina and Andy Collier, Brandon and Brenda Fuson, Christopher Fuson, Shane and Raven Fuson, Quentin Fuson, and Riley Fuson. Great grandchildren, Brent and Allison Collier, Matthew and Brooke Collier, Tiffany Collier, Sarah Fuson, Lillie Fuson, and Carson Fuson. Great great grandchild, Danica Collier. A brother, Charles Fuson of McMinnville. A sister, Darnell Fuson of McMinnville. Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Faith Congregational Methodist Church in his memory. Brian Bandy, Brandon Fuson, Christopher Fuson, Shane Fuson, Quentin Fuson, Matthew Collier, Brent Collier, Andy Collier, Riley Fuson, and Kyle Pelham will serve as pallbearers.
