78 year old Mary Frances Aughinbaugh Hayes of Smithville died Thursday at NHC of Smithville. She was a member of the Whorton Springs Baptist Church and a former employee of Nuturn and the Smithville Shirt Factory. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Whorton Springs Baptist Church. David Mahan will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until noon at the funeral home and from 1:00 p.m. until the service time at 2:00 p.m. at Whorton Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Edgar and Mary Elizabeth Aughinbaugh and two sisters, Dorothy Green and Barbara Calvert. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, James Hayes of Smithville. A son, Ricky Hayes of Smithville. A daughter, Vicky and husband Joe Bogle of Dowelltown. Two grandchildren, Michelle and husband Paul Cantrell and Tony and wife Amanda Trapp all of Smithville. Five great grandchildren. A brother, Joe Edgar Aughinbaugh of Viola. Two brothers-in-law, Johnny and wife Trena Hayes of Pegram and Morris Braswell of Smithville. Her very special church family loved her dearly. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family asks that in addition to flowers, donations be made to the Life Center at Whorton Springs Baptist Church.
