60 year old Michael Andrew Ward of Smithville passed away Sunday at his residence. He was a press operator at Federal Mogul and a member of the McMinnville Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Jonathon Willoughby will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 p.m., Monday from 1-8 p.m., and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Jean Martin Ward; a sister, Alice Marie Christian; brother, Murrell Lee Ward; niece, Mary Christian; nephew, Paul Ward; and mother-in-law Lorene Barnes Tramel. Survivors include his wife of 31 years Janice Tramel Ward of Smithville. Two daughters, Resha and Chris Allen and Rena and Jonathon Willoughby of Smithville. Grandchildren, Quentin and Ashley Cook, Zackary Snyder, and Jathan and Lydia Willoughby of Smithville. Step grandson, Christopher Allen of Smithville. Great grandson, Aiden West of Smithville. Father Thurman Ward of Smartt Station at Morrison. Six brothers, Paul and Janice Ward of Smithville, Kenneth and Audrey Ward of Rock Island, Tim Ward of Rock Island, David and Reda Ward of McMinnville, Lynn and Laure Ward of Pikeville, and Jim Ward of North Carolina. Three sisters, Brenda and Ricky Henderson of Rock Island, Linda and Tommy Thompson of McMinnville, and Martha and Kenneth Braswell of Elm Hill; and father-in-law, L.C.Tramel of Smithville.
