Ms. Frankie Jo Evans age 88 of Smithville passed away Sunday afternoon, October 4, 2015 at her residence. She was born June 10, 1927 to her parents, the late Herman and Mary Frances Hibdon Stewart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Evans; 1 son, Gary Evans; grandchildren, Eddie Evans, Jr.; 2 great-grandchildren, Trinity Summers and James Goff; 3 brothers, Edward Stewart, Billy Stewart, James Stewart; 2 sisters, Ora Gay and Roberta Webb. Ms. Frankie was a member of the New Bildad Primitive Baptist Church and a homemaker. Survivors include 7 children, Larry (Janie) Evans of Smithville, Danny (Diane) Evans of Woodbury, Ronnie (Carolyn) Evans of Smithville, Eddie (Julie) Evans of Rockwood, Jim Evans of Smithville, Frank (Darlene) Evans of Smithville, Wanda (Roger) Bradford of Smithville; 15 grandchildren, Brad (Ronica) Evans, Garry Evans, Kerri (Steven) Gunter, Nathan (Ally) Evans, Johnny (Ashley) Evans, Rhonda (Jerry) Goff, Jo (T.J.) Summers, Elizabeth (Thomas) Alvis, Steven (Rachel) Evans, James Evans, Mary (Andy) Gibson, Cain Evans, Sarah Evans, John Bradford, David Bradford; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Reba Stewart of Smithville. Funeral services will be conducted 1:PM Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ricky Arnold and James Evans officiating and burial to follow at Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday 12 Noon until 8:PM and Wednesday 9AM until the time of the service at 1:PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
