66 year old Nina Reeder Phillips of Smithville died Wednesday at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Royce Martin and Josh Phillips will officiate and burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vada Irene Reeder. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, William “Bill” Phillips of Smithville. Two sons, Randall and his wife Amelia Phillips and Marty and his wife Teresa Phillips all of Smithville. Two grandchildren, Josh Phillips of Nashville and Heath Phillips of Smithville. Four sisters-in-law, Norma Gunter, Mary Cantrell, and Jane Eller all of Smithville, and Faye Walker of McMinnville. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins survive along with two special friends, Joel Dawes and Joyce Robinson. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund or to Lazarus House Hospice.
