70 year old Patricia Ailene Beene Underwood of Lebanon died at Tennova Healthcare. She was retired from Bellsouth after 30 years. The funeral will be Saturday at noon at the Liberty United Methodist Church in Charlotte, Tennessee where she was a member. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Lemuel Beene and Ailene Southerland; a brother, Lemuel Beene; and a sister, Sue Vaughn. Survivors include a son, Joseph Underwood and his wife Mary Spotswood and grandsons, George, Henry, and Walker Underwood all of Franklin and a brother, Edward Beene of Liberty. Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations may be made to the DeKalb Animal Coalition.
