Paul Frank Parton age 95 of Smithville went home to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, November 3, 2017 at the Whitehouse Health and Rehab. He was born July 30, 1922 to his parents, the late Hall Canady and Willie Florence Hill Parton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Taylor Parton; granddaughter, Melissa Hunt; 3 brothers, Sterling, Ralph and Roscoe Parton and 1 sister, Evelyn Vick. He was a Pentecostal, served in the U.S. Army being in WWII and received 2 purple hearts. Mr. Frank was a brick mason. He is survived by his daughter, Shirley (Don) Jones of Bowling Green, KY; 1 granddaughter, Karri (Charlie) Provance of Bowling Green; 5 great-grandchildren, Dusty and Kristi Hunt, Gavin, Olivia and Wyatt Provance; 1 great-great-grandson, Elias Hunt; 1 sister, Marie Waggoner of Murfreesboro and 1 brother-in-law, James Fuson of Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted 1 PM Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Shirley Jones and Bro. Michael Hale officiating, Military Honors will be conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard and burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday 10 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
