61 year old Raymond Nelson Caldwell of Smithville died Tuesday at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. He was a member of the Pomeroy Chapel Brethren in Christ Church. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bryan Jones will officiate and burial will be in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Caldwell. Survivors include his wife, Linda Caldwell; a son, Tyler and Lyndsey Caldwell; a daughter, Abbey and George Roller; sons, Greg Cripps and Jason Cripps; grandchildren, Ava Caldwell, Madison Cripps, Jacob Cripps, Evans Cripps, Kerrigan and Alanis Cripps; mother, Marilyn Caldwell; brothers, Jimmy and Debbie Reeder, Frankie and Rita Caldwell; sister, Patricia and Donnie Bratcher all of Smithville. Several uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements, Donations may be made to Love-Cantrell Funeral Home to help with burial expenses.
