76 year old Robert Franklin Foutch of Crossville died Saturday. He was born in DeKalb County, the son of Clyde and Ruby Lee Lawrence Foutch. He retired after 30 years of service with the Tennessee Highway Patrol as a Lieutenant. He also served several years as Chief of Police and Judicial Commissioner. He was a member of many organizations such as the Masonic Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police and Retired Police Chiefs Association. Foutch was also a U.S. Army veteran having served during Korea and a member of Haley’s Grove Baptist Church. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Vern Daugherty will officiate and burial will be in the Crossville City Cemetery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by hus brothers, Jackie and Larry Foutch. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Foutch of Crossville. Daughters, Becky Gilley and her husband David, Donna Gilley and her husband Eric, and Robin Miles and husband Greg all of Crossville. Brother, Danny Foutch and his wife Charlene of Mount Juliet. Sisters, Ann Summers, Pat Keith, and Brenda Taylor all of Smithville and Judy Parsley and husband Larry of Lenior City. Grandchildren, Sara Patterson and Stephanie Gilley and Great grandchildren, Braxton and Briley Bridges and Kynden and Rylan Patterson. Hood Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
