76 year old Rosie Emma Luna of Sparta died Tuesday at her residence. She was a homemaker. The funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Taylor Providence Church where she was a member. Harold Robinson and Alton Caldwell will officiate and burial will be in the Taylor Providence Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Caney and Candice Stewart Luna; her husband, Wilburn Lee Luna; three brothers, Boston, Benjamin, and Allen Luna; and two sisters, Nell Corbitt and Rachel Luna. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia and her husband Claude Griffin; two sons, Wilburn and his wife Linda Luna and James Leon Luna all of Sparta. Eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Two brothers, Beecher Luna of McMinnville and Billy Luna of Nashville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements, Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. The family requests that donations be made in lieu of flowers to Lazarus House Hospice.
