83 year old Sally Ann Dowling Shepard of Smithville died Sunday at her residence. She was a Catholic and a retired officer manage for Dr. Joseph Crosby. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church. Father David Cooney will officiate and burial will be in the Young Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Shepard was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Catherine Fleming Dowling. She is survived by her husband, Miles D. Shepard and a sister, Elizabeth Dowling both of Smithville. Two step-daughters, Susan and husband Thomas Lord of Florida and Wendy and husband Phil Wise of Arizona. Seven step grandchildren and special friend, Cliff Julian of Florida. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
