53 year old Steven K. Cantrell of Smithville passed away Wednesday. He was a Baptist, production worker, and former DCHS teacher. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. David Hill will officiate and burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, B.L. and Eva Cantrell and a brother, Kevin Cantrell. Survivors include a niece, Leslie and husband Joe Bounds and great nephews, Tyler and Brantley Bounds all of Partlow, Virginia. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In addition to flowers, donations may be made to the DeKalb County 4-H Club.
