Willa Dean Taylor

92 year old Willa Dean Taylor of Smithville died Friday night at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Herschel and Edith Gill Haynes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Solon Robert Taylor; Son, Robert Jewel Taylor; Brother, Brown Haynes. She was a Homemaker and a Baptist. She is survived by 1 Daughter, Sherry Gayle Taylor Graham of Smithville; Granddaughter, Keisha Taylor of Murfreesboro; Daughter-in-law, Helen Taylor of Smithville; and 2 Great-Grandchildren, Leslie and Max. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:PM Sunday at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday 4:PM until 9:PM and Sunday 10:AM until the time of the service at 2 PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Thomas A. Pavone

58 year old Thomas A. Pavone of Smithville died Monday at NHC. A Memorial service will be Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Mary Pavone; two sisters, Josephine Pavone and Gloria Pavone; and a brother, Frank Pavone. Survivors include three sisters, Rosemary Pavone, Geraldine Lipke, and Darlene Pavone all of Illinois. One brother, Anthony Pavone of Illinois. One local niece, Kari and husband Jacob Ashford of Liberty. Several nieces and nephews survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Judy Carol Tramel

66 year old Judy Carol Tramel of Smithville died Sunday at Woodbury Nursing Center. She was a Christian and a retired employee of Star Manufacturing. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Banks Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. Tramel was preceded in death by her parents, James Austin and Ova Josephine Bratcher Davis; two sisters, Mary Helen Stanley and Rebecca Cantrell; brothers, James Homer Davis; a nephew, Darrell Petty; and a niece, Paulette Estes. Survivors include two daughters, Kim Cantrell of Smithville and Schree Tramel of Smithville. Two grandchildren, Jacob and Elicia Cantrell; one brother, Roger and his wife Barbara Davis; and a special nephew, Johnny Cantrell all of Smithville. Several nieces and nephews also survive. John Newbell

Mr. John Newbell, age 79 of Alexandria, TN, died peacefully in his home on Friday evening after an extended battle with cancer.
John Retired from Textron in 1989 with 33 years of Service. He was a longtime member of the Alexandria Church of Christ. John was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1956 to 1958.
Mr. Newbell is preceded in death by Infant Son; Kerry Allen Newbell. Parents; W.H. Newbell and Etta Bradford Newbell. Sister and Brother-in-Law; Robbie Crawford and J.C. Crawford. Brother; James “Dee” Newbell.
Survivors include Wife of 57 Years; JoAnn Barry Newbell. Two Daughters; Kim (Ross) Talley of Alexandria, TN, and Kristi (Ricky) Sullivan of Alexandria, TN. Grandchildren; Brad (Carrie) Talley, Ashley (Brian) Talley Bjork, Dillon Sullivan, Jason (Janna) Sullivan. One Great-Grandchild; Connor Talley.
Funeral Services for Mr. John Newbell will be on Monday, November 18, 2013 at 1PM at the Avant Funeral Home in Alexandria, TN with Jeff Ford officiating. Interment will follow in the Vanatta Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Avant Funeral Home in Alexandria, TN, on Sunday, November 17 from 10AM to 8PM, and again on Monday November 18 from 10AM until the service time at 1PM.

Julie Ann Rehmel

Julie Ann Rehmel, 43, of Terre Haute, IN passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013 at her residence. She was born Jan. 27, 1970, in Terre Haute.
Survivors include her mother, Dawn Ames of Terre Haute; a son, Quinton Adcock of Terre Haute; maternal grandmother, Mary Cox of Terre Haute; siblings; Donald Earl Ames and wife Linda of West Terre Haute, John Russell Dulaney and wife Nakisha of Mississippi, Charley Dulaney, Michelle Dulaney of Terre Haute, Brenda Dulaney of Florida, Russell Delaney of Florida, and Steven and wife Michelle Barnes of Cookeville. From Smithville Julie is survived by siblings; Lori and husband Stanley Myrick, and April Barnes; mother-in-law, Mary Adcock; sister-in-law, Kathy and husband Steve Merz; special niece, Stephanie Reagan; uncles, Doyle and wife Shirl Barnes, Kennie and wife Barbara Barnes, Thomas and wife Tina Rose; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Eugene Rehmel; paternal grandparents, Violet and Clifford Rehmel; maternal grandfather, James Richard Pickrell; step-father, Vernon Barnes; grandparents, Luther and Nelda Barnes; and aunt Denise Wenger.
She was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, a member of the American Legion and the Amvets.
Funeral services or Julie were held on November 1 at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home in West Terre Haute, with Pastor Gene Jeffers officiating. Julie’s remains were cremated and entombment of her ashes in the Veterans Columbarium at Roselawn Memorial Park and graveside military rites were provided on November 5.

Louise Vickers Bogle

80 year old Louise Vickers Bogle died Thursday at Stones River Hospital. Born in Cannon County, she was a member of the Clear Fork United Methodist Church, and a homemaker. The funeral will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Lee Neal, Chad Coppinger, and Tommy Davis, Jr. will officiate and burial will be in the Gunter-Grizzle Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Delter Will Vickers and Louzetta Blair Vickers. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Robert Bogle of Woodbury. Children, Melinda and husband Roger Wilson of Sparta, Vicki and husband Joe Bryson, and Tammy and husband Lee Neal of Woodbury, and Teal and husband Mike Hatfield of Murfreesboro. Grandchildren, Billy Parsley, Betsy Hawkins, Will Cooper, Ben Bryson, and Cameron, Chantell, and Callie Neal. Siblings, Judy Coppinger of McMinnville, John and wife Linda Vickers of Centertown, Austin and wife Helen Vickers of Viola, and J.D. Vickers of McMinnville. Seven great grandchildren also survive. James “Jim” Sexton

75 year old James “Jim” Sexton of Smithville died Tuesday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a member of the AmVets 101, the First Assembly of God, and a retired self employed auto body repairman. The funeral will be Friday at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Donnie Kelly will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margie Sexton; two brothers, Arlie and Bill Sexton; and a sister, Fonda Ditton. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Kay Sexton and one son, Kamus and wife Cori Sexton all of Smithville. One daughter, Tania and husband Jeremy Buck of Murfreesboro. Four grandchildren, Blain and Ethan Sexton of Smithville and Jeren and Tayla Buck of Murfreesboro. Two brothers, Clarence and wife Martie Sexton and Kenneth Sexton of Indiana. Orgie Lee Auberson

89 year old Orgie Lee Auberson of Smithville died Tuesday at NHC. She was a factory worker at a shirt factory and a Baptist. The funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. B.J. Thomason will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. Auberson was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Sara Stamps; two brothers, Stanley Stamps and Ridley Stamps; a sister, Ovie Auberson; and her husband, Carlie Auberson. Survivors include four sons, Doy and wife Marilyn Auberson of Oklahoma, Roy and wife Carol Auberson of Livingston, Keith and wife Judy Auberson of Livingston, and Roger and wife Fran Auberson of Hillham. Joyce Wilma Arnold

72 year old Joyce Wilma Arnold of Tulsa, Oklahoma died Monday at her daughter’s residence in Rock Island. She was a Lutheran and a waitress at Spudders in Oklahoma. A memorial service will be in St. Louis, Missouri at a later date. Arnold was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Ella Lichtenberg and brother, Ronald G. Lichtenberg. Survivors include four daughters, Debbie Hayes of Rock Island, Donna and husband Robin Lawson of Rock Island, Denise and husband George Noland of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Denell Hall of Claremore, Oklahoma. One son, Christopher and wife Cindy Tiepelman of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Two brothers, William and wife Sharon Lichtenberg of St. Louis, Missouri and David and wife Carolyn Lichtenberg of St. Louis, Missouri. Donna Marie Cope

82 year old Donna Marie Cope died Saturday at NHC Healthcare in Smithville. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. A Graveside service and burial will be at West Mound Cemetery in Taylor, Michigan on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Michael Hale officiating. She was born in Wheeling, West Virginia to parents Edward and Mary (Lichtenscheid) Seivertson. She had many talents and professions as a hairdresser, floral and cake decorator. She and her husband Samuel Weimer owned and operated W&W Garage, a well known repair, paint and body shop in the Davie, Florida area between the 1960’s and 2001. Nights and weekends they were professional dance teachers in a building adjacent to the repair shop, eventually opening Sam & Donna’s Stardust Ballroom, also in Davie. So respected and well known they were invited to be in a movie, in which the story line was dancing, with Richard Harris and Robert Duval. Cope is predeceased by her husband William E. Sanders Jr. and former husband Samuel C. Weimer. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Sue Gohs and her husband Richard of Jasper, Georgia. Sons: William E. Sanders III and his wife Daniela of Orlando, Florida; James E. Sanders of Columbus, Ohio. Grandchildren: Angela Close (Daryl), Jahnelle Sikes (Wiley), Jessica Sanders, Jaime Sanders and her fiance Carter Edwards, Christina Moshier, Elisha Sanders, Shayna Rabess (Jarome), Brandon Sanders, Jordan Sanders, Zack Sanders and Alex Sanders; 8 Great Grandchildren.
