Barbara Jo Barrett age 68 of Watertown, died Thursday morning, Aug. 13, 2015 at her residence. Born in Dekalb County, she was the daughter of the late Lassie Mai Driver Pedigo and Elmo Pedigo. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Bratten Barrett on Jan. 2, 2010 and by a brother, Carl Pedigo. She was a member of Round Lick Baptist Church and a retired garment factory employee. Barbara is survived by her children, Bratten (Carol) Barrett of Hermitage, Tim Barrett of Watertown and Kim (Gilliam) Vastola of Watertown; grandchildren, Bethany and Caleb Barrett, Tyler and Gage Vastola; sister, Wanda (Richard) Harris of Lebanon; brothers, Leroy (Donna) Pedigo of Nashville and Jerry (Susan) Pedigo of Crossville; 6 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Round Lick Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Denton officiating. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Friday at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown and 1-5 p.m. Saturday at the church. Pallbearers, Bryan Pedigo, Robert Driver, Dakota, Tyler and Marcus Grandstaff, Gerald Lamberson. Gracie Nell Evans age 91 of Dowelltown, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at NHC HealthCare Center. She was born March 2, 1924 to her parents, the late Thomas and America Adcock Luna. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Evans, 2 sisters, Jessie Knowles and Mary Pinegar and 3 brothers, Elijah, Herb and Zeb Luna. Mrs. Gracie was a Baptist and a retired shirt factory worker. 51 year old Vickie Carol Young of Katy, Texas died suddenly Wednesday, August 5. She was born in Smithville to her parents, Grady H. and Linda Haley Young. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was a dental assistant. Vickie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lonnie and Madalyene Bing Haley and paternal grandparents, James Monroe and Edith Evans Young. Survivors include two sons, Joshua Salsgiver of Katy, Texas and David Young of Canada; parents, Grady H. and Linda Haley Young of Katy, Texas; one brother, Grady Allen Young of Texas; one nephew, Matthew Young of Katy, Texas; several aunts, uncles, and cousins in Tennessee. 94 year old Annetta Bratten Fite of Liberty died Thursday at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of Salem Baptist Church. The funeral will be Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church. 68 year old Danny Williams of Hartsville died Wednesday, August 5 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. He was an RN at the VA Hospital in Nashville and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was of the Methodist faith. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. 92 year old Irene (Poss) Davis of Lebanon died Tuesday at Kindred Healthcare Center in Carthage. She was a homemaker and a Pentecostal. Mrs. Rebecca Elizabeth Hale age 93 of Smithville, TN, died Tuesday, August 04, 2015, at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital in Smithville, TN. She was born October 05, 1921, in Cannon County, TN, was a retired employee of Genesco and was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Hale was preceded in death by parents Harvey and Novella Melton Gunter, husband Dixie Denby Hale, son Jerry D. Hale, grandsons Michael Joe Hildreth and Steven Bradley Hildreth, sisters Bessie Parker and Florene Daniel, and a brother Smoot Gunter.
Survivors include her daughter Linda Hale Hildreth Landahl, granddaughters Tammy Burton and Leslie (Rex) Crabtree, great-grandchildren Travis and Justin Davenport, Kristy Stubblefield, Matthew, Tarryan, and Kaylan Hildreth, and Sophie and Addison Crabtree, and great-great grandchildren Olivia and Emily Davenport and Madeline Stubblefield.

A member of New Union The Baptist Church, Mrs. Jones sang with her husband Royce at church and in local gospel groups. She was preceded in death by parents Cordie and Louvella Russell Adcock, husband Royce D. Jones, and special cousin/sister Carolyn Rankhorn.
